Review and test your Text-to-Buy campaign

After you create your Text-to-Buy campaign, we recommend using the Review page to check for the following:

  • Verify messaging includes the correct product, message copy, keyword, and discount. 
  • Test checkout experiences for first-time and returning buyers. 
  • Ensure discounts and fulfillment are properly applied to the order. 

As you test and troubleshoot the message, you can return to the configuration and design pages to make adjustments. Use this guide to test 

Test your campaign

Before scheduling your campaign, we recommend following the steps below to test and troubleshoot the subscriber experience. 

  1. If you haven't done so already, subscribe to your brand's Attentive marketing messages. 
  2. Send yourself a test message to double-check the the following:
  3. On your phone, reply with each keyword to ensure you’re receiving accurate responses.
  4. When you receive the order summary text, double-check the product and shipping prices are accurate. Shipping prices vary by state.  
    Note: Make sure the pricing and applied discount display as intended, and that error messages don't appear after your keyword response or test purchase.
  5. If possible, complete the order to ensure there aren’t issues with your Shopify store or fulfillment center.
    • An unauthenticated subscriber: following the authentication flow to the order review page.
    • An authenticated subscriber: reply EDIT and click the link to the order review page.
  6. When you're satisfied with your campaign, click Choose send time to send the campaign to your subscribers.

Note: Text-to-Buy campaign messages take longer to send than typical campaign messages. Because of this, we recommend leveraging segmentation tools to send to a total audience of less than 100,000 subscribers per campaign.
