Not sure where to begin with message copy for your campaigns? Attentive AI™️ has you covered. With a couple of clicks, we’ll build the framework for your campaign messages, taking the guesswork out of ideation and letting you focus instead on messaging strategy. Plus, you can use generated messages as A/B test variants, helping you be confident that Attentive’s suggested messages are great for your brand.
Here’s how it works: First, describe the campaign you want to send. Don’t worry about crafting just the right message yet – for now, focus on the key details you want subscribers to know. For example, announce a Mother’s Day sale on all products.
As you type your message, Attentive AI automatically generates message suggestions for you. When you see one you like, click + Add message, and we’ll replace your original message with the AI suggestion.
You can also use the buttons above the suggestions to further customize the messages the Attentive AI generates for you, making it easy to add emojis, urgency, or humor to your campaign messages.
Click to copy a suggested message to your clipboard, allowing you to paste it in the message field or somewhere else.
Generate copy for your campaign message
You can use AI to generate message copy when you create new or edit campaign messages. However, keep in mind that AI copy will replace any message copy you wrote manually, so you may want to click to copy a message suggestion instead. If you want AI to generate messages, you’ll get the best results if you start by describing the campaign message you want to send.
The generated message copy actively uses whatever you write in the message field to determine how the message is structured. For example, if you add a product name but not a discount or discount code, the generated message won’t reference a discount. If you include a macro in your initial message, Attentive AI will include it in message suggestions.
To generate campaign message copy with AI:
- Create a campaign with Campaign Composer that includes at least one text message.
- Describe the campaign message you want to send in the Message field. Focus on the key facts, like the type of campaign you’re sending and whether or not there’s a sale. For example: Mother’s Day sale on all products. If you include a macro, the AI will include it in suggestions too.
- Click Suggested Messages.
- Review the suggested messages. If you see one you like, click + Add message to use it as the copy for your campaign.
- Rotating arrows to generate new message suggestions
- Two squares to copy a message suggestion, allowing you to paste it in the compose field or elsewhere
- The flag to flag a message for Attentive to let us know that it has bad grammar, is offensive, lacks details from the prompt, or that doesn’t match your brand voice
- + Add A/B test variation to set up an A/B test to test variations of message content
- Finish designing your campaign message. Make sure to include both a shortlink and an image, GIF, or video!
- Once you’re satisfied with the message copy, click Review & schedule campaign and then schedule your campaign.
A/B test generated copy
You can also convert message suggestions into an A/B test variation to see how well they perform against other generated messages, or against a message that you write yourself. If you write your own campaign message before converting it to an A/B test, your original message is used to generate each test message variant. If you included a shortlink in your original message, it’s included in each test message variation.
After you convert your message to an A/B test, you can add and test more variations, add media like images, and more.
If you’re not already familiar with sending A/B campaign tests in Attentive, you may want to check out A/B test campaign messages with Campaign Composer before proceeding.
Important: When you convert a suggested message to an A/B test variation, it permanently changes the campaign to an A/B test and can’t be reverted. If you make a mistake or decide that you don’t want to test generated message variations, go back to Campaigns and create a new one create a new campaign with Campaign Composer.
Convert a generated message into an A/B test variation:
- Create a campaign with Campaign Composer that includes at least one text message.
