Attentive uses a standardized technical framework for processing revenue and attributing orders across different currencies and identifiers. This ensures that global reporting is accurate and that customer data is unified across multiple profiles.
Automated Currency Conversion
All revenue within the platform is automatically converted into the account’s default region's currency. This process maintains data integrity by ensuring that calculations do not mix different currencies.
- Supported Currencies: The system supports 180 active ISO 4217 currencies.
- Exchange Rates: Currency exchange rates are refreshed daily. The system applies the latest available rate; if a rate for the current day is unavailable, the system retrieves the most recent rate from the previous seven days.
- Data Availability: Converted data is available for all records beginning January 1, 2023.

- Shopify Order Data: Accounts using the Shopify integration utilize Shopify’s order data for attribution purposes as described here

Data Cleansing: When an account has multiple sources capturing purchase data (such as Shopify or custom API integrations), the system applies specific logic to ensure data accuracy:
- Data De-duplication: When multiple channels capture the same order record, Attentive uses identifiers such as order ID to merge records to prevent double-counting in reporting.
- Improved Identity Matching: Critical identity metadata, including email, phone, and cookie IDs, across multiple integration sources, is merged into a single order record to identify a known user or subscriber.
Technical Limitations & Scope
Billable Spend: Currency conversion applies strictly to revenue reporting. All invoicing and billable spend metrics remain in USD.
