Subscriber profile terms

Reference the following definitions for more information on the terms used when viewing subscriber profiles. The definitions are broken down by components.

List page

The main page of the Subscribers tab displays a list of all if your subscribers. You can search or filter this list to narrow down subscriber and segment-specific information. 

  • Subscriber
    • Profile Identifier - this will be (in priority order) first & last name, phone number, or email.
    • First and last name will be populating names coming from Shopify, or those that exist/collected within Attentive (will show Shopify first)
  • Contact details
    • Email and/or phone number for that subscriber
    • This will show up to one phone number and/or email for a subscriber, and are the phone number or email that was, or is still, on a subscription
  • Status
    • ‘Eligible’ or ‘ineligible’ to receive messages
      • Eligible - has at least one subscription channel that is active
      • Ineligible - has no subscription channels that are active, subscriber cannot yet, or can no longer, receive messages through Attentive
  • Active since
    • Date Attentive was first made aware of the subscribers’ intent to receive messages
    • If a subscriber started to sign up but didn’t complete the opt in, we display the date they initiated the attempt (ex. clicked on mobile CTA or submitted their phone number on desktop)
    • If a subscriber is manually uploaded or sent through an integration, we display this date
  • Search bar
    • Search by phone number or email
      • We will only support full phone number and email searching
      • Will only allow a phone number or email, not both
      • For the search itself, you can type it in any format you want as long as it's a valid phone number
        • E.g., 404-231-2222, (404) 231-2222, +14042312222, and 404.231.2222.
      • Emails or phone numbers shown are on an active subscription

Filters

When you click on a specific subscriber, a panel appears, displaying the following information. You can click View full profile to access more detailed information. 

  • Segment
    • Filter down to the list of subscribers in a specific segment
    • Segments must already be created in the segment builder to be viewable in filter dropdown

      • There may be ineligible subscribers as part of the list - this is because they technically meet the conditions of that segment, however would not be included if this segment was used for messaging

  • Status
    • Ineligible/Eligible - filter down to subscribers who are eligible or ineligible to receive messages
    • Opted Out - filter down to subscribers who have opted out of at least one subscription
    • Not Yet Joined - filter down to subscribers who have shown intent to receive messages, but have not yet joined (i.e. replied Y)
  • Sign-up date
    • View list of subscribers who have signed up for a subscription within the dates specified
  • Location
    • View list of subscribers within specific states
  • Purchase
    • View list of subscribers who have, or have not yet, made a purchase, over the dates specified
  • Click
    • View list of subscribers who have, or have not yet, clicked a link in a message, over the dates specified

Profile details

When you click View full profile, all subscriber information displays, including:

  • Profile header
    • Profile Identifier - this will be (in priority order) first & last name, phone number, or email
    • First and last name will be populating names coming from Shopify, or those that exist/collected within Attentive (will show Shopify first). Will show a phone number or email if there is no first/last name
  • Contact details
    • Email and/or phone number for that subscriber
    • This will show up to one phone number and/or email for a subscriber, and are the phone number or email that was, or is still, on a subscription
  • Location
    • Zip code
    • The zip code listed here will be from the Attentive Tag that uses the IP address to assign a location
  • Status
    • ‘Eligible’ or ‘ineligible’ to receive messages

      • Eligible (in green) - has at least one subscription channel that is active
      • Ineligible (in gray) - has no subscription channels that are active, subscriber cannot yet, or can no longer, receive messages through Attentive
  • Active since
    • Date Attentive was first made aware of the subscribers’ intent to receive messages
    • If a subscriber started to sign up but didn’t complete the opt in, we display the date they initiated the attempt (ex. clicked on mobile CTA or submitted their phone number on desktop).
    • If a subscriber is manually uploaded or sent through an integration, we display this date
  • Sign-up unit
    • The way the subscriber signed up for messages from Attentive
  • Subscription channels + subscription types
    • Valid subscription channels for the subscriber will show, and those that do not exist will not show.

      • Text Marketing
      • Text Transactional
      • Email Marketing
    • The status of each subscription will show below each subscription:

      • Accepts - currently can accept messages through this channel and subscription type
      • Not Yet Joined - has shown intent to receive messages but has not yet given consent (i.e. has not replied Y)
      • Opted Out - has replied “STOP” and opted out, or has been manually opted out of receiving messages
  • Activities
    • Timestamped events that are available for subscribers, related to texts, emails, and site activity
      • Text sent
      • Text clicked
      • Text sent from subscriber (i.e. “Y”)
      • Email sent
      • Email opened
      • Email clicked
      • Product Viewed
      • Product Added to Cart
      • Product Purchased
      • Custom Events (specific to the clients integration)
    • If the source of the event is an integration (i.e. Klaviyo, Shopify), it will show the specific integration source
  • Attribute type
    • Name of custom attribute, i.e. “favorite color”
  • Attribute value
    • Value of custom attribute, i.e. “blue”
    • This will show the most recent value collected for the subscriber
  • Date collected
    • Date in which the value was collected from the subscriber. If this was collected and sent through the Public API, the date shown here will be the date it was sent to Attentive, not necessarily collected
  • Collection method
    • The way in which a custom attribute value was collected

      • API
      • Journeys
      • Sign-up unit
  • Offers
    • List of offer codes assigned to the subscriber, including if it’s shared or unique, and the timestamp of when the coupon was assigned
    • No static coupons will be listed
