Mention Me

With the Mention Me integration, you can engage your best customers through highly relevant text messages that drive long-term brand advocacy, improved ROI and increased revenue by:

  • Sending real-time email opt-ins directly to Attentive
  • Creating personalized SMS coupon reminders
  • Identifying top advocates to send personalized SMS
  • Promoting referrals via SMS

Prerequisites

Ensure that you meet the following requirements in order to set up this integration:

  • An active Mention Me account on either our Acquire or Optimize packages
  • Attentive account with the Mention Me custom app installed
  • Attentive signUpSourceID for Mention Me (provided by Attentive)

Use custom events in journeys

After the integration is connected, you can create a custom journey in Attentive using the custom events from Mention Me. The following table lists the available custom events for the journey.

Use custom attributes to create segments for targeted messaging

After the integration is connected, you can create a dynamic segment in Attentive using the custom attributes from Mention Me. The following table lists the available custom attributes available for segmentation.

Attentive contact attribute Description
Mention Me Share link For referrer contacts only
  • This is the link that referrers can use to send to their friends to join your referral program.
  • It’s set when a Referrer contact is created/updated.
Mention Me Dashboard link For referrer contacts only
  • This is the link that referrers can use to see how many successful referrals they’ve made.
  • It’s set when a Referrer contact is created/updated.
Mention Me Referrals The total number of successful referrals a contact has made (A successful referral means the referee has made their first purchase.)
  • This includes historical referrals (not just since the integration has been enabled).
Mention Me Total Shares The total number of share methods used to share
  • This includes historical share methods (not just since the integration has been enabled).
  • This includes shares via all sharing methods – not just the ones set in Attentive.
Mention Me Shares Email This is populated when the referrer has shared via this share type.
Mention Me Shares Facebook This is populated when the referrer has shared via this share type.
Mention Me Shares Facebook Messenger This is populated when the referrer has shared via this share type.
Mention Me Shares Name Sharing This is populated when the referrer has shared via this share type.
Mention Me Shares WhatsApp This is populated when the referrer has shared via this share type.
Mention Me Shares Source The name of the share method the referee came from
Mention Me Propensity to Refer Only sent if you’re running a Mention Me Smart Experiment. This is either:
  • High – If customer has a high propensity to refer
  • Low – If customer has a low propensity to refer
