You can add email steps to prebuilt or existing transactional journeys.
Follow these steps to add an email step to a transactional text journey:
- From the Journeys page, select an existing journey or click + Create journey and select a transactional text journey.
- In the journey editor, click and drag a Send email step into the journey.

Click Turn on. If you make any changes to transactional text messages, keep in mind that you’re responsible for ensuring that those messages don’t include marketing content. See What are transactional journeys? for more information.
