Send a single message email campaign with Campaign Composer

This article shows you how to create and send a single-message email campaign with Campaign Composer. You can also send text message campaigns, multiple-message text campaignsmultiple-message email campaigns, and multi-channel campaigns

Create and send a single-message email campaign

  1. Go to Campaigns and click + Create campaign.
  2. Choose Email.
  3. Complete the following:
    • Message name: Optional, but recommended. Enter an internal name for the first message of your campaign.
    • Tags: Click Add tags and select an existing tag or type a name to create a new tag. You can add up to five per campaign message. Learn more about campaign message tags.
    • Email Subject & Preview Text: Enter the text you want to appear as the email’s subject and choose whether to customize email preview text or use the first line of text from the email body. You can also click + Add A/B test variation to test different subject lines to see which drives the most engagement.
    • Audience: Click Edit and select one or more segments of subscribers to receive your campaign. You can also click Exclude to further refine the audience of your campaign. You can see an estimate of message recipients for your message above the Done button.

    • When to send: The date and time to send your first campaign message. For time, you can choose between the time of your brand’s HQ (chosen in Settings), or based on the time zone of each subscriber.
  4. For Email details, click Add and complete the following
    • From name: The name that subscribers see in their email.
    • From email address: The email address that subscribers will see the email is from.
    • Tracking: Optionally, click Add Google Analytics link tracking and enter a UTM campaign code to enable link tracking. This isn’t visible to subscribers.

      When you’re done, click Save.
  5. Design your email campaign message. On the right side of the screen, click either:
  6. Click Preview in the upper right corner of the email design editor.
  7. In the Send this preview to field, enter your email address and then click Send.
  8. Review your email message for:
    • Message copy grammar and style
    • Media, personalizations, and shortlinks
  9. Once you’re finished, click the X in the upper-right corner of the screen, and then click Save and return to campaign.
  10. From the campaign composer screen, click Review & schedule campaign.
  11. Review your campaign email message’s attributes, and make sure that the send time and audience are set correctly. Once you’re finished, click Schedule campaign.

Your campaign is now scheduled, and you can find it to edit, pause, or cancel it on the Campaigns list page by filtering for Scheduled campaigns.

After your campaign ends, you can review its performance by filtering the Campaigns list page for Delivered.
