You can complete the above workflows in any order, but each must be completed before you can use this feature.

There are two different Back in Stock journeys, and only one can be active:

  • Back in Stock Opt In: Messages subscribers after they opt in to view a product with a variant when the product is replenished. BiS Waitlist journeys require that subscribers opt in to the waitlist for each product variant. BiS Waitlist journeys also require that you create and activate a Back in Stock Waitlist sign-up unit, as well as add a code snippet to your Shopify store.
  • Back in Stock: Messages subscribers after they view an out of stock product without a variant when the product is replenished. Back in Stock journeys don’t require opt in to send messages to subscribers. Back in Stock journeys also work on their own, and don’t require a Shopify code snippet or sign-up unit.
