Dynamic product images incorporate the image of the product that initiated the subscriber’s journey. When designing a triggered email, you can incorporate one or more dynamic product images for remarketing in the following email journeys:
Add a dynamic product image
Follow these steps to add a single product image to your email:
- When designing your email, drag a DYNAMIC IMAGE content block into your email.
- Click the dynamic image placeholder in the email editor, then click Edit dynamic image in the panel on the right. The Insert dynamic image popup window appears.
- In the popup, click the Dynamic image content dropdown, then select Product > Image.
- Click Insert.
Your email now includes an image of the product that triggered the event.
Add a dynamic product image from a custom event
If you send Custom Events API data to Attentive, follow these steps to add dynamic images to your email using that data.
- Follow the steps in the Add a dynamic product image section above
- In the Insert dynamic image popup, select Triggering event. Click a recently selected event or click Explore more to see all events.
If you clicked Explore more, search for the object or property you want to use as a dynamic image, and then click Select.
Note: Select the Custom Event property containing the image URL.After you select a property, the Insert dynamic image popup reappears. - Click Insert.
Add multiple dynamic products to your email
Follow these steps to add multiple dynamic products to your email:
- When designing your email, drag and drop the DYNAMIC PRODUCTS block from the CONTENT section in the panel on the right..
- Click Add products.
The Add dynamic product page appears.
- Select the number of products you want to display.
Note: If you select multiple products, the email editor only displays the first row. Click Preview to see how your email will appear to subscribers. - Select a Layout.
- Below Product details, check the box next to each product detail you want to appear in the email. To hide a detail, uncheck the box.
Note: If you want to edit product details, you can do so in Shopify. - In Button Content, enter the text that you want to appear on all product buttons.
- Click Continue to return to the email editor.
Note: If you use Shopify, you can exclude products from appearing in multiple dynamic products. For example, you can tag products like insurance, warranties, or seasonal items so that they don't appear as recommendations. Exclusions don’t apply to products you manually add to an email from your product catalog or to single dynamic product images (added with the DYNAMIC IMAGE content block) that show the product that triggered an email.
Edit multiple dynamic products
If you have one or more dynamic product images in your email draft, you can edit the associated product row to make changes.
- At the top of the email editor, click Edit products.
- Select the dynamic product row that you want to edit. The Add dynamic product page appears.
- Follow the steps in the section above to make changes as needed.
- Click Continue.
