You can export subscriber details for a specific segment by requesting a download link. When you request a download link, you’ll be sent an email with a link to a CSV file that contains details about the email and/or SMS subscribers in that segment.
Follow these steps to export details about subscribers in a specific segment:
- Go to Segments.
- Find the segment you want to export.
- Click the three dots for that segment, then click Download CSV.
- Select one or more Recipient(s). The selected recipients will receive an email with a CSV file containing subscriber details.
Note: You can only select users set up in Settings > User management as recipients.
- Select the Subscriber type the CSV file should contain. You can choose from the following options:
- All subscribers: Subscribers currently opted in to receive email or SMS messages
- SMS: Subscribers currently opted in to receive SMS messages
- Email: Subscribers currently opted in to receive email messages
- Multi-channel: Subscribers currently opted in to receive email and SMS messages
- Click Request download link.
A confirmation message appears confirming that a file is being generated and a download link will be sent via email. Once the file is generated, you’ll receive an email with a link to download the CSV file and some important compliance information.
All files include the following columns:

Note: If the name fields are blank, it is because this information is only populated when synced directly through Attentive’s integration with Shopify or Klaviyo, or when manually uploaded by a member of the Attentive team. Name attributes collected via API or through Attentive sign-up units are not displayed in this section. |

Notes:
- Files contain subscriber information as it exists when the file is generated.
- List exports may include subscribers who’ve opted out of your program and/or are on Attentive’s proprietary internal known litigator list. Seek the advice of your legal counsel about the sufficiency of consent and potential compliance risks if you intend to contact these subscribers outside the Attentive platform. More details are included in the email you receive with the link to download your CSV file.
