The Attentive and Malomo integration connects consumers to merchants via SMS. Consumers receive order shipping notifications through branded shipment tracking experiences.
With this integration, you can:
- Leverage the Attentive platform to deliver SMS notifications to your customers based on the status of their order and any related shipments.
- Drive traffic to branded shipment tracking pages to increase cross-sells, reduce support tickets, and create more brand exposure.
Prerequisites
Ensure that you meet the following requirements in order to set up this integration:
- Malomo is installed in your Shopify account.
- The implementation of your Malomo tracking pages is complete.
- You're capturing transactional opt-ins (typically at checkout) to send transactional messages.
Now, complete the following procedure to set up the integration for Malomo and Attentive.
Set up the integration
Complete the following steps to set up the integration:
- Sign in to your Malomo account.
- Go to attentive.gomalomo.app and then sign in to your Attentive account.
- Click Authorize to grant permission for Malomo to send events to your Attentive account.
You now have access to a set of Malomo triggers, which you can use to create journeys and insert Malomo data into them. Note that each trigger is created on the first instance that the event is received from Malomo, so it may take up to 24 hours for all Malomo triggers to be listed.
Inform customers of their order status using Attentive Journeys
After the integration is connected, you can create a custom journey in Attentive using the custom events from Malomo. You can configure your journeys to communicate in real time to customers where their order is in the shipping lifecycle. Use the {order_number}
property to give customers a reference point and the {order_url}
page URL to direct customers to your Malomo Tracking page.
