If you’ve set up the Shopify integration, you can collect email subscribers during checkout on your Shopify store.
First, you need to turn on marketing subscriber information in your Shopify integration. Then, you can update your Shopify Marketing Subscribers sign-up unit to include an email welcome journey.
Turn on subscriber collection
Follow the instructions below to display an opt-in checkbox at checkout. This will be deselected by default, however, shoppers can check the box to subscribe.
- On the App Marketplace page, search for the Shopify integration.
- On the Settings tab, turn on Collect Email Marketing Subscribers.
- Click Save changes.
Update your subscriber sign-up unit
After you turn on subscriber collection for the Shopify integration, update your sign-up unit to incorporate email opt-in. Subscribers will enter an SMS opt-in journey, and optionally an email opt-in journey.
- Create a sign-up unit to collect SMS marketing subscribers from Shopify.
- On the Subscribers page, go to the Sign-up units tab and search for "Shopify Marketing Subscribers."
- Click the three dots to the right of Shopify Marketing Subscribers and select Reassign.
Note: Don’t change the SMS Welcome Journey. - In the third drop-down, select an email welcome journey.
- Click Reassign.
Now, subscribers who opt in to your store will enter an email and an SMS welcome journey.
