Remove a subscriber

In the Subscriber Profiles tab, you can opt a subscriber out of one or more existing subscriptions. Attentive will immediately remove them from the subscription. Subscribers won’t receive an opt-out confirmation.

  1. On the Subscribers page, go to the Subscriber profiles tab.
  2. In the search bar, enter the email address or phone number that you would like to unsubscribe.
  3. In the search results, click the subscriber you’d like to unsubscribe. A panel appears with a list of their current subscriptions.
  4. Next to the subscription you’d like to unsubscribe them from, click the three dots, and select Unsubscribe.
    • The three dots don't appear for subscriptions with the statuses of Has opted out, Has not yet joined, or Collected.
  5. Select the subscription they would like to opt out of:
    • Text marketing: SMS and MMS messages with promotional content such as sales announcements.
    • Text transactional: Trigger-based SMS and MMS messages that update subscribers on their transactions status, such as an order or shipment confirmation.
    • Email marketing: Email messages with promotional content such as sales announcements.
    • Email checkout abandoned: Promotional email messages that aim to remind subscribers to complete their checkout. This only appears for subscribers who haven't opted in to general email marketing.
  6. When the confirmation message appears, click I’m sure to confirm.

After you remove them from the subscription, a confirmation dialog appears in the UI. To resubscribe, subscribers must opt in through your existing sign-up methods.
