Create and edit an email unsubscribe page

You can create and customize an email unsubscribe page for your brand. This is the page that opens when subscribers click the Unsubscribe link in one of your emails.

Create and activate an email unsubscribe page

Follow these steps to create an email unsubscribe page:

1. Go to Settings > Email Settings.
2. Under Email unsubscribe page, click Create.
   
3. Click Activate to immediately activate your brand’s email unsubscribe page.
   

Once activated, subscribers see the email unsubscribe page when they click an unsubscribe link from one of your brand’s emails.

On the email unsubscribe page, they can click the Unsubscribe button to unsubscribe from emails. After they click the Unsubscribe button, they’ll see the unsubscribe success page, which confirms that they’ve successfully unsubscribed from your brand’s emails.

Email unsubscribe pages use default copy from Attentive and your configured brand styles. You can, however, customize your brand’s email unsubscribe page. See the section below for more information.

Customize an email unsubscribe page

Follow these steps to customize your brand’s email unsubscribe page in the email unsubscribe page builder. The builder allows you to customize two separate pages: the email unsubscribe page and the unsubscribe success page.

1. Go to Settings > Email Settings.
2. Under Email unsubscribe page, click Edit. The email unsubscribe page builder opens. The email unsubscribe page builder works similarly to the sign-up unit builder.
   
3. (Optional) Upload a Desktop background image or change the Desktop page position. These options affect both the email unsubscribe page and the unsubscribe success page.
   
4. To edit the email unsubscribe page, hover over the page with your mouse and click Edit design.

   • Brand styles
     • Logo
     • Layout
     • Fonts
     • Global styles
     • Sign-up text message
     • Screen-reader description
     • Existing subscriber message

5. To edit the unsubscribe success page, click Unsubscribe success, hover over the page with your mouse, and then click Edit design.

     • Fonts

     • Screen-reader description
     • Existing subscriber message

6. When finished, click Save changes.

Your email unsubscribe pages now use your modified brand and page styles.
