The Reports library consolidates reports about your most important metrics into general categories, such as subscriber activity and campaign performance. Within these categories are individual reports.
Reports are available for the following categories:
- Program Reports
- Subscribers & Sign-Up Units reports
- Revenue & Cost reports
- Campaign reports
- Journey reports
- Concierge reports
Each report consists of a chart that visualizes your data and a table that contains detailed data.
Read on for more information about viewing and exporting Attentive reports.
View and customize reports
In the Reports library, click a report’s name to view it. Each report includes several options that let you view the data that’s most important to you.
Date range
Most reports allow you to specify a date range. Follow these steps to specify a date range:
- Click the date dropdown below the report’s name.
- Select a date range.
Some reports also allow you to define a custom date range. Follow these steps to define a custom date range:
- Click the date dropdown below the report’s name.
- Select Custom.
- Use the date picker to select start and end dates.
- Click Apply.
Group by date range
Most visual reports also allow you to group metrics by periods of time. For example, if you’re looking at the Sign-up Units Performance report over the past year (by specifying the date range), you can group by month to see metrics (impressions, clicks, etc.) for a given sign-up unit for each month in the past year.
Follow these steps to group by a date range:
- Click the Group by dropdown below the report’s name.
- Select the date range to group by, e.g., one day or one month. Both the chart and table below refresh automatically.
- Some reports also allow you to Group by entire range. If you select Group by entire range, the chart disappears and the Date column no longer appears in the table or the CSV export. For example, if you’re looking at the Sign-up Units Performance report over the past year, this allows you to see metrics (impressions, clicks, etc.) for a given sign-up for the entire last year.
Filters
Some reports include filters, which allow you to drill down into your visual reports. For example, in the Sign-up Units Performance report, you can filter to view performance for a single type of sign-up unit. This way, you could generate a report that shows daily performance just for desktop sign-up units. You can also apply multiple filters and use filters to exclude data.
Follow these steps to apply or clear filters:
Follow these steps to filter a report:
- Go to Reports and select the report you want to filter.
- Click Customize.
The Customize Report popup appears. - Click the Filters tab.
- Set up filters to refine your report. For each filter you want to apply, select is or is not; then select one or more values for the filter. For example, if you want the Sign-Up Units Performance report to show only non-BFCM desktop sign-up units, you could set up filters like this:
-
- Set By Sign-Up Unit Name to is not and select sign-up units that have
BFCM
in their name. - Set By Creative Type to is and select
DESKTOP
.
- Set By Sign-Up Unit Name to is not and select sign-up units that have
Notes:- Which filters appear for a given report depend on the kind of data included in the report. For example, filters related to sign-up units aren’t available for the Journey Message-Level Performance report.
- When you’re applying multiple filters, data must satisfy all selected conditions to appear in the report. In the example above, the report only shows data when the sign-up unit doesn’t have
BFCM
in the name and the creative type isDESKTOP
.

Click Update.
After you click Update, the filter is applied to your report. Filters are applied both in the report you see in Attentive and in reports exported as CSV files. In the report in the Attentive UI, the names of applied filters appear above the chart with a gray background. You can also clear a filter by clicking the X next to that filter’s name.
Metrics dropdown
In each report, you can use the dropdown to view the chart according to a different metric. For example, if you’re looking at the Sign-up Units Performance report, you can view charts for impressions, clicks, joins, and more across the selected date range.
Table
Below the chart in each report is a table that displays data according to the report’s date range and metric groups. Different columns appear for different reports. You can sort the table by clicking on the column headers.
Columns
Some reports allow you to add or remove metrics and group metrics by other dimensions, such as message, sign-up unit type, journey, trigger, and more. You can select multiple dimensions.
For example, in the Sign-up Units Performance report, you can group by sign-up unit type to better understand how different types perform in terms of impressions, clicks, joins, and email saves.
Follow these steps to add/remove metrics and group by metrics:
- Click Customize.
- Click Group by metrics to select and unselect metrics to group your report by.
- Click Metrics to select and unselect metrics visible in your report.
- Click Update.
After you click Update, the metrics and how they're grouped are adjusted in the table below the chart.
