Inform agents of upcoming promotions

The Promotions tab allows you to update Concierge agents on your promotional events, and how you’d like them to handle the events. This information equips agents to better address sale and promotion-specific inquiries.

When creating the promotional event, you can add the duration, associated coupon code or event name, and other important details for agents to know. After you save the promotion, agents can view it in their UI.

Add a promotion

Follow the instructions below to create a coupon or event to inform agents with:

  1. On the Concierge page, click the Promotions tab.
  2. Click + Add promotion. A popup appears.
  3. In the New promotion popup, select from the following. Then, click Save.
    • Coupon: Below Coupon code, enter the valid code for agents to share with customers. This code can be from your Attentive offers, or your ecommerce platform.
    • Event: Enter the name of the promotional event.

      Note: If using a coupon code, double-check that the code is valid in Attentive offers or your ecommerce platform. The promotions tab doesn't support unique coupon codes at this time.
  4. In the prepopulated Details field, replace [ENTER TEXT] and [ENTER DATE] with information regarding the promotion. This will inform agents of what the promotion applies to, and for how long.
  5. If the promotion only applies for a specified amount of time, click the Limited time toggle. Additional fields appear.
    • Make sure to specify this time period in the Details field.
  6. If you clicked the Limited time toggle, select the time zone that you’d like to specify the duration in. Then, fill out the following fields:
    • Dates active: Select the date range that the event occurs on, or the coupon is active.
    • Date to begin promoting: Select the date you would like to inform agents of the promotion. By default, this prepopulates with your promotion’s start date.
  7. Click Save.

After you save the promotion, you can access it from the Promotions tab. Agents will see this promotion on the date you configured.

Edit a promotion

If plans change around a current or upcoming promotion, you can edit the promotion to inform Concierge agents of the updates.

  1. On the Concierge page, click the Promotions tab.
  2. On the promotion you’d like to edit, click the pencil icon.
  3. In the Edit promotion popup, make the desired changes. See Add a promotion above to do so.
  4. When you’re satisfied, click Save.

After you save the promotion, the agent’s UI updates to include your changes.

Delete a promotion

If you have an active or upcoming promotion that you don’t want agents to use anymore, you can delete the promotion by clicking X. However, if the promotion is scheduled to expire at the time you want to delete it, you don’t have to do this; the promotion disappears from the agent’s UI 2 days after it expires.

Follow the instructions below to delete an active or upcoming promotion:

  1. On the Concierge page, click the Promotions tab.
  2. Click the X on the promotion you’d like to delete. A confirmation message appears.
  3. Click Delete to confirm.
