Grow your text marketing list and your email list at the same time using Attentive’s best-in-class sign-up forms. Customers can opt in to both email and text marketing in the same sign-up flow. Our integration ensures that emails automatically sync to Cordial so that you can start sending marketing emails immediately. This integration also helps you keep your contact data and opt-in status up-to-date.


Ensure that you meet the following requirements in order to set up this integration:

  • You must have a Cordial account
  • Grant Attentive the following permissions in Cordial:
    • write access to:
      • /contacts
    • POST and PUT to:
      • /contacts
      • /contacts/{id}
    • GET to:
      • /accountcontactattributes
      • /accountcontactattributes/{key}
      • /accountlists

Now, complete the following procedures to set up the integration.

Step 1. Collect Cordial information

Log in to your Cordial account and collect the following information:

  • API key—Complete the steps to create an API Key in the Cordial platform specifically for Attentive. Note that you must allow (place on an allowed list) the following IP addresses:
  • List Names—Navigate to the Lists page in Cordial and save the names of one or more lists that you want Attentive to add contacts to. 
  • (Optional) Phone Attribute Name—If you want to collect phone numbers, create a Cordial Contact Attribute and save the name. For example: attentive_phone

After collecting the relevant Cordial information, follow Step 2 to complete the integration.

Step 2. Set up the integration in Attentive

Now, complete the following procedure to set up the integration in Attentive:

  1. Navigate to the integrations setup page and select Cordial.
  2. Enter the following details that were previously collected in Step 1:
    • API Key
    • List Names
      • Note: You can add contacts to a single list or multiple lists. Use a comma-separated list to add to multiple lists. For example: list1, list2
    • (Optional) Phone Attribute Name
  3. Click Set up integration.
    Your Cordial account is now connected to Attentive.
