With this integration, you can pass email addresses collected through the Attentive sign-up unit to the Optimove platform in near real-time. This enables you to connect your customer data platform to Attentive.

Before you set up this integration, contact our White Glove team (whiteglove@attentivemobile.com) to help facilitate this process between all parties.

Step 1. Collect Optimove information

Collect the following information from your Optimove account:

  • Tenant ID—Contact our White Glove team (whiteglove@attentivemobile.com) for this unique identifier.
  • Version—Identify which version of the Optimove SDK you are currently using. Run optimoveSDK.API.getVisitorId() in your console to determine which version you’re running.

    v1 The latest SDK.

    The console returned a string of numbers/letters.

    Optimove’s latest SDK allows Optimove to place a visitorId in the window of a client’s website. This allows Attentive to retrieve the ID and send the information back to Optimove.

    v2 If you’re using an older SDK.

    The console returned a string of numbers/letters.

    An older version of Optimove’s SDK does not place a visitorId in the window of a client’s website. Because of this, you need to add details for the Custom Event and Custom Event Json fields in the Attentive platform, which is described below.

After you collect the information for Optimove, you can log in to the Attentive platform to complete the integration.

Step 2. Set up the integration in Attentive

Complete the following procedure to set up the integration in Attentive’s platform:

  1. Navigate to the integration setup page and select Optimove.
    Note: If you do not see Optimove as an option on the integration setup page, contact our White Glove team (whitegolve@attentivemobile.com).
  2. Enter the following details that you previously collected in the Collect Optimove information section:
    • Tenant Id
    • Version
  3. Do one of the following:
    • If you’re using v1 of the SDK, continue to step 4.
    • If you’re using v2 of the SDK, enter the following for each corresponding field:
      • Custom Event—Enter signup.
      • Custom Event Json—Enter {"source": "attentive","optin": true}
  4. Click Set up integration. Your Optimove account is now connected to Attentive.
