Extole

Unlock the potential of your existing customers to help drive your growth with the integration of Extole and Attentive. With this integration you can:

  • Grow your subscriber list
    • When a customer, advocate, or referred friend joins your Extole powered engagement programs, they can opt in to receive marketing messages via text. Extole automatically sends opted-in phone numbers to Attentive, along with email addresses and personal share links.
  • Send referral messages using custom journeys
    • Send messages to customers, advocates, and referred friends when they earn rewards.
    • Send targeted refer-a-friend promotions to your top performing advocates or to new customers who were referred by a friend.
  • Boost conversion rates by sending personalized messages to Extole segments
    • Send more personalized messages by leveraging data from your Extole powered programs to create new segments in Attentive. Segments can include top referrers, customers who shared specific products, or new customers who were referred by a friend.

Prerequisites

Ensure that you meet the following requirements in order to set up this integration:

  • An Extole account
  • An Attentive sign-up source ID

Set up the integration in Attentive and Extole

Now, complete the following procedure to set up the integration for Extole and Attentive.

  1. Reach out to your Extole Client Success Manager to create a new campaign in Extole.
    This enables the phone number capture field on the campaign for which you want to enable the integration.
  2. Once your campaign is created in Extole, navigate to the Sign-Up Units page in Attentive and find the sign-up source ID in the ID column of an API sign-up method.
    Note: If an ID isn’t yet created for Extole, please work with your Attentive Customer Success Manager to generate one. This is how new subscribers are added to your SMS marketing program.
  3. Navigate to the integrations setup page and select Extole.
  4. Click Install.
    You’re taken to a new browser window asking you to authorize Extole access to your Attentive account.
  5. Log in to your Extole account to finish the authorization, and select the Extole campaign from step 1 to enable the integration.
  6. In Extole, enter the sign-up source ID from step 2 in the Sign-Up ID field. Then, select the campaigns for which you want to enable the integration.
  7. Click Connect.
    Your Attentive account is now connected to Extole.
  8. Before pushing live, work with your Extole Customer Success Manager to review the creative changes that were applied to the campaigns you selected when enabling the integration.

Grow your subscriber list

After the integration is connected, Extole begins automatically sending opted-in phone numbers and email addresses to Attentive.

Send referral messages using custom journeys

After the integration is connected, you can create a custom journey in Attentive using events from Extole. The following table lists some example custom events and properties for the journey. If you want additional events or event properties, please work with your Extole Customer Success Manager.

Increase conversion rates by sending personalized messages to Extole segments

After the integration is connected, you can create a dynamic segment in Attentive using the custom events from Extole. For example, if you want to create a dynamic segment of top advocates, you can filter by subscriber activity and identify any advocates who've driven more than three referrals.
