Punchh loyalty texted-a-keyword (TAK) journeys let you automatically enter subscribers into your loyalty program when they text you the keyword “loyalty.” This journey also creates and adds the Punchh Loyalty Signup attribute to subscriber profiles, which is used in the Punchh Loyalty Signup journey. Once subscribers flow through this journey, they are added to the Punchh Loyalty Signup segment, which you can use in journeys and campaigns in the future.

Use the loyalty keyword to allow visitors to subscribe
If someone who isn’t yet a subscriber texts the loyalty keyword, they won’t receive a response. If you want these visitors to be able to receive a response, you can set up a text-to-join campaign that allows visitors to opt in to receive messages from you by texting a keyword. Be sure to use the same keyword (e.g., LOYALTY
) as your text-a-keyword journey for subscribers.
If you set up a text-to-join campaign for your loyalty program, we also recommend creating a loyalty-specific welcome journey that mirrors your loyalty text-a-keyword journey. This way, new subscribers who text your keyword will receive a response.
