Yotpo Loyalty & Referrals

The Attentive and Yotpo Loyalty & Referrals integration allows you to sync your customer loyalty data with Attentive to power personalized and high-performing SMS and email messages. By connecting the two platforms, you can create automated journeys and targeted segments based on a customer's loyalty status, points balance, and redemption history.

With this integration, you can:

  • Automatically send timely messages triggered by loyalty events (e.g., points earned, VIP tier achieved).
  • Create dynamic segments based on loyalty attributes (e.g., point balance, VIP tier name).
  • Personalize messages with loyalty data to increase engagement and drive redemptions.

Prerequisites

Ensure that you meet the following requirements in order to set up this integration:

  • Have an active Yotpo Loyalty & Referrals account on a supported plan.
  • Have an active Attentive account.

Set up the integration

The connection is initiated from your Yotpo Loyalty & Referrals account. For detailed, step-by-step instructions on connecting your accounts, please refer to the Yotpo Help Center article.

Once the authorization is complete, your Attentive and Yotpo accounts are connected. After the initial sync, all customer loyalty attributes and events will sync in real time.

Building Journeys and Segments with Yotpo Data

After the integration is set up, you can use loyalty events to trigger automated journeys and loyalty attributes to create dynamic segments directly within the Attentive platform.

Journeys

In Attentive, you can create a custom journey that is triggered by a specific Yotpo event. These events are available under the Apps dropdown menu when you select Start from scratch in the Journeys builder.

Here is a list of common Yotpo events you can use as triggers:

Event Name Description
Points Earned Triggered when a customer earns points.
Tier Earned Triggered when a customer qualifies for a new tier.
Redemption Created Triggered when a customer redeems points for a reward.
Customer Birthday Triggered on the customer's birthday.
Points Expiration Reminder Triggered when a customer's points are about to expire.
Referral Completed Triggered when a referred friend completes a purchase.
Loyalty opt_in Triggered when a customer joins the loyalty program.

Segments

To create a dynamic segment in Attentive, navigate to the Segments page and select Create segment. You can use the custom loyalty attributes synced from Yotpo to build highly targeted campaigns.

The following table lists some of the custom attributes you can use:

yotpo_point_balance Customer's current available points balance.
yotpo_loyalty_vip_tier_name Customer’s current loyalty tier name.
yotpo_loyalty_next_tier_points_needed Points a customer must earn to move up to the next tier.
yotpo_loyalty_birthday_date Customer’s birthday.
yotpo_loyalty_referral_link A customer’s unique referral link.
